I saw Timmy a few months ago
he was doing better
staying clean,
staying sober.
He said meetings
were really helping
hold back the need
to rush out and drink the town.
But his roommate told me
he relapsed once
a couple weekends ago,
spent two days as a puddle.
He seems fine now
roommate assures me,
but I know Timmy
and I know about the bottle
he keeps under the couch.
